During World War II, the 332nd Air Force squadron was honored for keeping casualities low and bomber’s safe. The real reason that this squadron made history was because of its members. The 332nd Air Force squadron were the first African-American pilots to hit the skies for America. Until decades after the war had ended, few knew of heir accomplishments.
