During the Civil War, letters were often the only way for soldiers and loved ones stay in touch. Although sending letters was slow and unreliable, when in the hands of the recipient they were of great comfort. Original letters, photographs, artifacts and dioramas will help visitors learn about the day to day life of the Civil War soldier. After visiting the Civil War exhibit, stop by the Museum Store and pick up a copy of "Love and Valor" to learn more about the Civil War as well as Jacob & Emeline Ritner. Regular admission.
